Aboso Nsuaem is a town near Tarkwa, the capital of Wassa West district, a district in the Western Region of Ghana. Aboso Nsuaem is the organization’s primary focus. In our visit to the village, we got the opportunity to have a meeting with the community elders. In the meeting, we discussed the pressing issues of the town.

The primary school is currently the main concern of the community. The school has 319 students enrolled. The elders took the team to the school compound and we were given a tour. The condition of the school was very saddening. The building is a clay house with vey few materials like desks and writing boards.

Chairs used in classroom

We were shown the bathroom used by the students and teachers. The lavatory is a crumbling clay house with no doors and gender assigned stools. Due to the bad condition of the bathroom, the teachers and students no longer use the bathroom, they use the small farm garden behind the school building.

The organization needs your financial and material support to renovate the community school. Please consider donating, your support is greatly appreciated.
